Good Puppy!

Every interaction is a teaching opportunity.

A puppy will learn by imitating what takes place in their enviornment.

Stating your puppy off right comes from having the proper tools and knowledge of dog behaviors in order to help prevent unwanted behaviors in the future.

Our Puppy Program focuses on the key aspects of dog ownership: Leadership, Respect and Clear Communication.

Puppies also need:

A strong sense of social order and learn to play well with others!

As well as,

confidence gained through problem solving and from challenging themselves within their environments.

Three in home private lessons which start with identifying the puppy's temperament and personality, their strengths and what is necessary to get the very best out of the puppy.  Owners will learn leadership skills on which to build a basic foundation of behavior.  The primary language of: voice response, recall, following, sits, down, wait, leave it, and take, as well, as functional problem solving techniques are applied.
The puppy is also enrolled into the socialization program for the duration of the training program to meet the need of learning how to deal with changing environments, develop social skills and just have fun.

Off leash training takes the owners away from the confines of having to be connected to the dog via a leash for training to be effective. All of our dogs live a greater percentage of their lives off leash; yet, these are times when owners need to have the greatest control and means to handle the dog.  Since we are unable to control the environment we live in, it only stands to reason, that controlling the dog within the environment is our best resource.  This enables the dogs to respond appropriate when off leash and owners to have greater latitude in teaching acceptable behaviors at a distance.
